19th Annual Hugh Ogden Memorial Poetry Gathering

Join with other poetry lovers to remember poet Hugh Ogden and to celebrate featured poet, Betsy Sholl. The event will kick off with the Ogden family sharing poems of their father, the late Hugh Ogden, followed by a community open-poetry reading. This year’s program will feature poet Betsy Sholl, former Poet Laureate of Maine from 2006 to 2011, who hails from Portland. The poems in her tenth collection of poetry, As If a Song Could Save You, echo themes of family, music, joy, grief, and the natural world.
