Name RPL as a Beneficiary
One meaningful way to support the Rangeley Public Library is by naming the Rangeley Library Association as a beneficiary of an IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or other retirement account.
A beneficiary designation is generally made directly with your retirement-plan administrator or financial institution and typically does not require changing your will or trust.
You may name the Rangeley Library Association to receive all or a percentage of your account, or a specific amount if permitted by your plan administrator.
Because the Rangeley Library Association is a qualified charitable organization, retirement assets left to the Library may generally pass to it without the income taxes that can apply when retirement assets are left to individual beneficiaries. Please consult your advisor about your individual circumstances.
To make or update a beneficiary designation, contact your retirement-plan administrator and use:
Rangeley Library Association
EIN: 01-0147000
If you name the Library as a beneficiary, we would appreciate knowing about your plans so we can thank you and help ensure your wishes are understood.
