The Rangeley Public Library Board of Trustees guides the long-term direction of the Library, helping ensure it remains a vibrant and welcoming resource for the community. Composed of engaged Rangeley residents with a wide range of professional backgrounds, the Board supports the Library’s mission through thoughtful planning, fundraising, and community connection. Members serve without compensation in three-year terms, generously contributing their time and expertise to support operations, strengthen resources, and foster the Library’s continued growth.
We purposefully select people from all contributing municipalities and seek a diversity of opinions and experience. If you might be interested in serving, please contact any current member of the Board. Their duties include:

President
Peter brings over 25 years of executive leadership in organizational management and healthcare, with deep experience in strategic planning and funding. A longtime Maine connection inspires his commitment to ensuring the RPL remains a strong, future-focused community resource.

Board Member
Mike brings over 40 years of experience in education, with a focus on fostering engaging and supportive learning environments. A former seasonal visitor turned full-time resident, he is dedicated to ensuring the Library remains a vibrant resource for lifelong learning and connection in the Rangeley region.

Vice President

Wendi Maynard
Board Member
Wendi Maynard joined the Board after two years as a Library volunteer and brings 35 years of corporate HR experience. A full-time Rangeley resident, Chamber Ambassador, and local volunteer, she serves on the Fundraising and Personnel and Policy Committees, supporting the Library’s sustainability and community-centered mission.

Treasurer
Ellen draws on nearly four decades in banking and financial services to bring careful stewardship and strong financial oversight to the Rangeley Public Library. With long-standing ties to Rangeley and years of volunteer service, she is committed to supporting the Library as an enduring community resource.
